SHORT TUBERCULOSIS PORTRAIT

Bosede Okanlawon

Cured but broken

Bosede (39) has an open attitude and a lovely face. She looks small and frail. “You should have seen me four months ago”, she says with a laugh. “I was so weak.”

Bosede has recovered from multi-drug resistant tuberculosis in the hospital at Jericho and is almost ready to go home: back to her husband and four children, who have been staying with her family while she is in hospital.
